The Nazis Did Great Things... and So Might Trump
Perhaps the biggest misconception about authoritarian regimes is that they are unpopular or that they only come to power through brute force.
The reality is that many authoritarians are very popular when they come to power, and they use their popularity to enable the removal of rights from less popular groups and their political opponents.
Trump has taken a number of unpopular actions since taking office, but it should not be assumed that Trump won't be able to bolster his popularity with some successful accomplishments.
